With this in mind we present the ideal packing list for your sailing holiday so you will enjoy every moment on board and get the most out of your yachting adventure with Aegean Sea Cruises!
Essentials: Start planning your packing by selecting the right luggage! When you come on board don’t pack excessively. A duffle bag or even a back pack should be more than enough for a week’s sailing. Any hard-cased suitcase is difficult for your skipper to bring it on board and will fill up space in your cabin that you wish you had available for yourself!
For both men & women the necessary clothing you should consider bringing is:
Ladies particulars: A couple of strap tops, few vest tops, and 5-6 t-shirts will be enough for a week. A pair of denim shorts, a couple of dresses for a night-out and underwear will be the utmost essentials for a lady on a yacht! Sandals since you’re sailing Greece are also a must!
Men particulars: Guys, this is mostly so you don’t forget the important stuff! So, a couple of jeans or linen trousers along with a couple of shirts will be enough for looking like a yachtie when ashore! Apart from swimsuits, flip-flops, jacket and sunnies, a pair of closed shoes will be fine for when you’re about to go for a stroll & don’t forget your undies & a belt!

Our three day Sailing Cruise continues to the cycladic island of Ios, where you have the opportunity to swim at wonderful beaches as well as visit unique sights. Most noteworthy, Maganari is one of the most acclaimed beaches of Ios, known for its crystal blue waters and its golden sand. Furthermore, explore the island before the day ends at the port. Disembark and discover Ios’ nightlife, walk its traditional alleys as well as its traditional villages, Skaros and Palaiokastro. Finally visit the Archaeological Museum as well as the Church of Panagia Gemiotissa of Ios.
Similarly, at our second day of the sailing cruise, we stop at Sikinos, an island of merely 150 inhabitants. Enjoy an entire day in the island, filled with pleasurable wine, honey and olives. Additionally, swim at some of the island’s most beautiful crystal blue beaches.
Even more, during your evening stay, explore Sikinos’ beauties and enjoy a dinner at Agios Nikolaos Tavern. Finally, remember to pay a visit to the Temple of Zoodohos Pigi and get a taste of the orthodox culture.
On our third day of the Sailing Cruise we visit Folegandros. An island of the Cyclades complex with magnificent beaches, sprinkled with delicious tastes. Combine watermelon and cheese production with pasta variety samplings.
While being on the coast you can witness beautiful sights and walk at narrow cobbled streets. Finally, visit the Castro (Castle), a medieval settlement built to protect the Island’s inhabitants from enemy invasions alike.

Taking you to even more untravelled Cycladic islands, the second option for a 3 day sailing trips takes you to discover Irakleia, Sxoinousa and Koufonisia islands.
Irakleia is a remote island, that will set the mood for the rest of the cruise. Quiet and tranquil, it is the perfect place to begin a 3 day relaxation sailing trip. Sxoinousa island, right next to Irakleia, amplifies moments of seaside serenity.
Not crowded, time on these islands runs more slowly and have a different kind of quality to them. Koufonisia are perhaps the most well known of the three destinations, becoming more popular in recent years among those who seek a more ‘alternative’ kind of holiday.
