Going sailing definitely is very different to when you go on holidays ashore, a mix of adventure, luxury, tranquility and excitement which can appeal to one and all!
Sailing trips are different to any other type of holiday for a number of reasons, one of the most important ones is lack of limitless space on board! The other one is that while sailing, you may end up sweating during the daytime, but feel chilly when night falls. With this in mind we present the ideal packing list for your sailing holiday so you will enjoy every moment on board and get the most out of your yachting adventure with Aegean Sea Cruises!
Essentials: Start planning your packing by selecting the right luggage! When you come on board don’t pack excessively. A duffle bag or even a back pack should be more than enough for a week’s sailing. Any hard-cased suitcase is difficult for your skipper to bring it on board and will fill up space in your cabin that you wish you had available for yourself!
For both men & women the necessary clothing you should consider bringing is:
Ladies particulars: A couple of strap tops, few vest tops, and 5-6 t-shirts will be enough for a week. A pair of denim shorts, a couple of dresses for a night-out and underwear will be the utmost essentials for a lady on a yacht! Sandals since you’re sailing Greece are also a must!
Men particulars: Guys, this is mostly so you don’t forget the important stuff! So, a couple of jeans or linen trousers along with a couple of shirts will be enough for looking like a yachtie when ashore! Apart from swimsuits, flip-flops, jacket and sunnies, a pair of closed shoes will be fine for when you’re about to go for a stroll & don’t forget your undies & a belt!

A 3 days Catamaran cruise start from Ornos Mykonos. Sail across the turquoise water of the Aegean to the uninhabited islands of Rhenia and Delos, stopping to swim and snorkel at a pristine beach cove.
We will cruise towards the gorgeous island of Syros. This island stands out for its exceptional culture and whose capital, Ermoupoli, is also the capital of the Cyclades. With Ermoupoli being characterized as a town-museum, it is no coincidence that Syros attracts numerous travelers every year.
Vari Beach: Vari is an organized sandy beach with shallow waters. It offers everything a family may require: clear and calm waters, and thick sand. Megas Gialos: Megas Gialos is a holiday resort in the southern part of Syros. It is a long sandy beach with high reeds that stop where the sand begins. It is the perfect spot to jump off the yacht and dive into the crystal-clear waters!
Starting from Ermoupoli Port, we head off towards Paros Island, a place of rich history and tradition. Paros island figures among the best summer destinations in the Cyclades Islands.
Highlights of Paros
Naoussa. Definitely one of Paros most famous highlights, Naoussa has managed to preserve the feeling of the pristine fishing village it has always been, beautifull.
Kolimbithres. The exotic Kolimbithres is a sandy beach with crystal-clear waters and bizarre rocks which are forming small “swimming pools” that you will surely fall in love with.
Paroikia: The capital of Paros has managed to maintain its picturesque style. Paroikia’s cute harbor, decorated with white houses, is typical of the Cycladic architecture, and surely impresses any visitor.
After Lunch we will start cruising towards Syros. A scenic Cycladic island, ready to seduce you with its unique gastronomy and distinctive character. Sifnos is one of the most upscale, elegant, charming, yet low profile islands of the Aegean Sea.
Sifnos is definitely unique and you won’t know until you go! Numerous beaches in Sifnos are waiting to be explored. The island is made up of long sandy beaches and small scenic coves, offering a variety of alternatives for those wishing to spend the day by the Aegean Sea.
Our return will be back to our Beautiful island of Mykonos. A Greek island, part of the Cyclades Island complex, of about 33 sq. miles (85 sq. km) in area, lying next to Delos and between Tinos to the northwest and Naxos and Paros to the south.
There are two seasonal winds in Mykonos. The Sirocco is the winter wind, which comes from the South and carries sand from the deserts that border the Mediterranean. It is sometimes accompanied by electrical storms. During July and August a cool wind blows in from the North known as the Meltemi.
Indulge in this cruise to Delos and Rhenia islands, which lets you bask in the warm Mykonian sun, enjoying the summer breeze as you sail through the famous blue waters of Greece. What’s more, you can assist in the sailing process, as the crew will be more than happy to get you involved with trimming the sails!
Checkout is at 17:00 on the last day of the charter.
